How does Conveyancing Shoppers Work?
Conveyancing shoppers, exactly as its name suggests
provides an opportunity for you to choose from
a selection of conveyancing solicitors the solicitor
who best meets your criteria. We collect the information
in relation to your specific transaction be that
a Sale, Purchase, related Sale and Purchase transactionor
a Remortgage/Transfer of equity we then feed that
information into our solicitors database and then
provide you with the quotes of the respective
solicitors (a maximum of four conveyancing solicitor
quotes.) Once the quotes have been provided, you
will then be contacted by the individual solicitors
either by email or telephone which will give you
the opportunity to assess their individual service
and make a choice from there.
How do I go about selecting a quote?
Simply click on the Find a Quote link and select
your transaction from the drop down menu and select
either Sale Purchase Related Sale and Purchase
or Remortgage. Enter the information required
remembering to complete the essential fields and
then submit the form. You will then be provided
with a maximum of four quotes from different conveyancing
solicitors based within the United Kingdom. (You
may wish to select a solicitor within a certain
area within the county by selecting by area).
Once the solicitor has contacted you, you will
then be able to make enquiries in relation to
the transaction that you have requested a quote
for.
Do I pay for the conveyancing quote?
No, it is absolutely free to obtain a quote from
Conveyancing Shoppers. All conveyancing quotes
are provided absolutely free of charge and no
obligation on your part. We take this opportunity
to explain to you that while we do not receive
a fee from you for the use of our service the
conveyancing solicitors on our panel are required
to pay us a nominal fee for referring your case
to them.
Is this arrangement regulated?
All conveyancing solicitors on our panel are
regulated by the Law Society of England &
Wales and the nature of our arrangement with solicitors
is regulated by the Solicitor’s Introduction
& Referral Code 1990 (As amended)
Are the quotes provided an indication of what
I will be required to pay?
The benefit of requesting a quote from Conveyancing
Shoppers is that the quote provided is straight
forward and fixed – no hidden extras. Our
selection of conveyancing solicitors will indicate
exactly what fees you will be charged and the
individual items of expenditure. Where the solicitor
is unable to provide a fixed fee because of the
nature of an item of expenditure for example local
authority searches, they will endeavor to provide
you with the nearest estimate.
What role will Conveyancing Shoppers play once
I have chosen a solicitor?
Conveyancing shoppers does not get involved with
the process of your conveyancing transaction,
your chosen solicitor will assist you in the handling
of your property matter.
Once you have instructed a solicitor on our panel
they will take conduct of the entire transaction
from commencement to completion.
Conveyancing Shoppers emphasize that you are
under no obligation to accept the quotation provided
or indeed the service of one of our panel of conveyancing
solicitors. Your rights are reserved in this regard.
If you instruct a solicitor on our panel then
you agree upon the terms which you enter into
agreement with them and the transaction will proceed
on that basis. Conveyancing Shoppers does not
assume any responsibility or liability for the
services provided by the solicitors on our panel.
Any agreement or contract entered into will be
based solely on the contract/agreement between
the parties.
